Clearing-up Myths and Misconceptions about Sharing Models Using BIM 360 Design, Presenter: Rick Kremer
BIM 360 Design allows users to share work in a collaborative environment. In this hands-on class, participants will learn about the many benefits of using Autodesk’s next generation design collaboration tool. You’ll learn proper set-up and how to use permission levels for all users in order to share and exchange coordination models effectively. In addition, we will discuss how to avoid common mistakes made in BIM 360 Design.
Infrastructure Track
Dynamic Duo: Civil 3D and Dynamo, Presenter: Brian Hailey
Automate tasks in Civil 3D with Autodesk Dynamo. With the latest Civil 3D upgrade, you can install Dynamo in Civil 3D to use Dynamo commands directly within Civil 3D. During this session, Brian Hailey will show you how to install the Dynamo application and how to use it in Civil 3D. He’ll also show you tips for expediting workflows by defining scripts and routines in the visual environment.
10:00 am - 10:50 am

Dynamo Revit for Mere Mortals, Presenter: Matt Dillon
Dynamo Revit empowers everyday Revit users to accomplish a variety of complex tasks, including generative design, analysis, data extraction, and data manipulation. It is also useful for everyday repetitive, mundane tasks that while simple, can be time consuming when performed manually. This overview will provide an introduction to the Dynamo interface, visual scripting language and workflow, and provide examples of solutions for real-world, everyday challenges that every Revit user faces.

How to Keep your Job Using Revit, Presenter: Barbara Thompson
You probably won’t lose your job by not following best practices for using Autodesk Revit, but your job will become unnecessarily frustrating and stressful when your models are bloated, corrupt and difficult to navigate. This class will point out common errors that even experienced Revit users make. You’ll learn ways to avoid these mistakes to keep your file sizes small, your data integrity intact, and your life much less stressful. Easy to implement, but powerful productivity tips will also be shown.
Infrastructure Track
Guardians of the Galaxy: Autodesk + ESRI The Beginning!, Presenter: Ken Driscol
During this session, we’ll walk through a typical site/road design transportation project. You’ll see how you can smoothly connect GIS data to your BIM design model in InfraWorks workflow using the full suite of infrastructure solutions, including InfraWorks, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Revit. We will look at the following workflows:
- InfraWorks road layout tools and component roads for preliminary design.
- Cloud services for corridor and profile optimization.
- Moving preliminary designs from InfraWorks to AutoCAD Civil 3D for detailed design and documentation.
